Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare animal rooms, supplies, and equipment for studies.
  • Perform general animal husbandry, handling, room maintenance, dosing, and related procedures.
  • Collect data for Toxicology and Safety Pharmacology studies (cardiovascular, respiratory, and nervous systems).
  • Conduct inhalation study activities, including aerosol generation, sampling, and environmental monitoring (temperature, humidity, oxygen).
  • Perform technical procedures such as ECGs, blood pressure measurements, sample collection, and surgeries.
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate study equipment.
  • Accurately document and verify study data in compliance with SOPs and GLP standards.
  • Assist with data review, quality control, and audit responses as needed.
  • Perform animal identification and randomization.
  • Report deviations or issues promptly and follow health and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • DEC in Animal Health Technology or relevant experience.
  • Attention to detail, good multi-tasking abilities and able to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Must be available to work weekends and/or shifts.
  • Must a able to lift between 20 and 40 pounds.
  • English is necessary for operational purposes

Assets:

Experience in handling animals is a definite asset.

Experience in a laboratory or other scientific environment is a plus.

Knowing French is an asset.
