About the role

Leo Vets is a new, rapidly growing independent clinic in Waterford, and we’re looking for a veterinarian who believes there is courage in doing things differently. Our 3,300 sq ft, 5 exam room clinic plus mobile service was designed to offer everything a modern practice needs while feeling nothing like a traditional clinic. No reception desk, no ringing phones, no computers between us and families. Instead, a coffee bar, a treat bar for pets, and living room style seating set the tone for calm, connection focused visits.

We built Leo with intention. Low stress design. A Fear Free certified team. Longer appointment times. A culture that values curiosity, collaboration, and individualized care plans. Our values guide every decision: courage, community, and compassion.

Our community response has been incredible, and we are growing quickly. We want to continue welcoming new patients without curbing intake, and we are expanding our veterinary team to support that growth. Our qualified and experienced support team allows veterinarians to practice medicine in a way that feels supported, efficient, and relationship based.

The role This is a role for a veterinarian who wants their work to feel meaningful. You’ll have the time and space to think, connect, and collaborate, supported by longer appointments, dedicated follow up time, and a qualified team that keeps your day flowing so you can stay present with families. Surgery and consults are part of the work, but the experience is intentionally calm, organized, and relationship based. Surgical and medical mentoring is available for veterinarians who want to grow their skills in a supportive, curiosity driven environment. PT or FT options are available, and the role can evolve with your strengths and interests.

What we offer • Healthy support staff to DVM ratios that protect your time • A calm, well designed workspace • Competitive compensation with bonus potential • Health benefits • Paid CE • Paid CVO dues • No on call • Partnership potential for the right person

Requirements A full CVO license to practice veterinary medicine in Ontario is required for this position.

If you value long term relationships, thoughtful medicine, and a bright future for independent practice, we would love to connect.
